The rejuvenating energy makeover by Ilchi Lee

Everyday, we are surrounded by people trying to look young. We are bombarded by advertisements for products that supposedly reverse the signs of aging. The manufacturers of these products may not want you to know, however, that there is a free and simple way to stay looking your best—facelift acupressure. For too long, we have looked outside of ourselves to beautify our faces, yet all the while the answers have been ready and waiting inside our bodies and our energy systems. Facelift acupressure is truly the oldest and the most natural way to look and feel young. Best of all, it’s free and there are no side effects.
The whole idea of acupuncture may be new to you, but to me, it is very familiar because I grew up in a family of Oriental Medicine practitioners. I saw acupuncture needles and herbs around me all the time. But, I really didn’t want to be part of it when I was young, especially the needles. My mom knew that I did not like acupuncture needles, so whenever I got sick, she would give me acupressure instead. Surprisingly, I would always get better the next day. So, from a very young age, I knew how effective acupressure could be.
Years later, when I started my own clinic, I began to teach my patients to do acupressure on themselves at home. They would simply press and stimulate specific energy points, depending on their condition. Then, I started to get amazing responses from them. The patients practicing facelift acupressure were especially happy with the results.

Using acupuncture for facelifts has been practiced in Asia for thousands of years, and has recently garnered a resurgence of interest. In Korea today, most aestheticians and beauticians recommend the use of acupressure to their clients. The “acupuncture facelift” is commonly done with needles, but acupressure alone can make a significant difference in facial appearance. You simply have to know where the points are. It is an easy, fun, and effective technique. If you practice it regularly and consistently, you will see results.how it works
Acupuncture and acupressure work by stimulating and releasing the flow of Ki energy in the body. Ki propels, warms, and protects the body, moving along pathways called meridians. These meridians are connected by 365 acupuncture points, which are related to different parts of the body and organs. Most meridians run bilaterally, so the acupressure should always be done on both sides of the body at the same time.
The acupuncture point is like a button or switch in your body for activating and generating energy. When you insert a needle or press on a specific acupuncture point, you get a particular reaction. For this reason, you need to know exactly where the point is, which we will cover later in a labeled picture. Many classical acupuncture books explain that, through meridians and acupuncture points, Ki moves blood and fluids through the body. When you press on the acupuncture point, you are promoting and activating this process. More specifically, you are bringing blood and fluid into the area. According to the Western perspective, a wrinkle is formed by lack of blood circulation and fluidity. Many facial creams are developed to hydrate the skin, and machines are developed to promote blood circulation. So in this respect, the East and the West are working with the same idea to care for healthier, more beautiful skin.
Facial acupressure has additional health benefits. In the majority of cases, digestion is also improved through acupressure since many of the meridians on the face are related to digestive organs. Therefore, you are working on your body externally and internally when you practice facelift acupressure.
Beginning is very simple. Just memorize the locations of the points or follow the picture. However, understanding energy is something different. The energy you use is very much related to your emotions and vice versa. When my mother gave me acupressure, I got better very quickly and I could feel the energy easily. But, whenever someone else did it, it felt very different. The practitioner’s energy and intention is very important. This is why it is better to practice on loved ones, rather than oneself at first. Often, you tend to have less judgment and negative feelings about other people than about yourself. Actually, it usually works best when you give acupressure to someone you do not know. This is because you do not have much emotion attached to that person. No emotion is better than negative emotion because emotion affects your energy.
Wow, It’s amazing.
Accupuncture or accupressure, I know they are both very effective. They have worked on me. We are energy systems. Dahn Yoga is based on this, as is Oriental Medicine. If something has lasted for 10,000 years, it is worth checking it out.
