The Eastern art of yoga has taken the Western world by storm, with countless individuals – from regular people to celebrities – adopting its deep breathing techniques, poses and stretches.
Television personality, natural foods chef and author Bethenny Frankel may be counted among these people, Us Weekly Magazine reports. She admitted that she once looked down on yoga, believing that exercises such as spinning and running were much more beneficial.
However, the 40-year-old said that she discovered yoga and hasn’t stopped practicing it since. She practices the regimen up to three times a week, combining her workout schedule with the elliptical machine.
“You know, I have a stressful enough schedule without being on some bicycle, going 150 miles an hour,” Frankel told the news source. “Yoga makes me feel better. Plus, you can do it in a hotel room or at home. The plank position is an amazing ab exercise!”
