Yoga is a type of exercise with myriad benefits encompassing many aspects of an individual's personal and professional life. In addition to enhancing one's mental, emotional and physical health simultaneously, the holistic mind-body system also allows one to achieve personal development and strive for one's full potential. In addition to relieving stress, the relaxing regimen has also served to augment many people's dwindling bank accounts.
The Chicago Tribune reports that more individuals are turning to yoga instruction as a second job. Acquiring an extra paycheck from this exercise has helped many people pay the bills, as well as manage the tension and anxiety that may have accumulated during the day at their main jobs.
In fact, yoga has so greatly benefited some individuals that they have swapped their careers to devote themselves to it full time.
"Starting out, my salary is much smaller than what I was earning at my old position, but the quality of life is a thousand times better," said Liza Laird, who held a corporate marketing job before teaching yoga full time, according to the news source. "I would take this salary over my old one any day, because I can actually enjoy life rather than being miserable."
