The focus of most of our life is on what is outside of us, especially people and things. Even what we think and feel is usually linked to some external issue or object. Along comes Dahn Yoga training and quickly and consistently the focus is internally, especially in the body. Soon to most people it becomes apparent that the healing process is about getting to know the healing forces within — energy, pain, relaxation, power, etc.

Dahn Yoga — A Laughing Matter
Someone once told me that a chuckle a day keeps your brain young. Dahn Yoga views laughter as a core component, along with smiling, of the process of growing one’s body, mind and soul. It is therapeutic and good for the spirit. A good laugh also boosts the chemicals in our brain. Dahn Yoga exercises often have humor attached to them. Then there is the exercise where we laugh, for no reason at all, for several minutes. It is great.

Not just great artists must do this to focus on how to produce a work of art, but we too must consider how to see what is important in our life. There are so many distractions and temptations around us today, how can one see clearly? By going inside — listening to the body for health, feeling the creativity of the mind, and sensing the messages coming in for our soul. Dahn Yoga gives a process for going through this process.

Dahn Yoga and Overcoming Doubts

Doubts keep us from fully living our lives. The ego is a specialist in creating doubts and fears. Dahn Yoga teaches through its holistic exercises that doubts can be lessened and even eliminated with new information. As for fears, we need to take action to show the fears up for the ego limitation they usually are.

Dahn Yoga — Dream About the Future
“I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.” – Patrick Henry, patriot
If we don’t like our past, there is not much we can do about it. It leaves its marks on us. What is in our power to change is the future. And here dreams are necessary to give us direction and instill us with passion for action. Dream, then have a vision, next make a plan, and finally take action to make the future different than the past. This takes great discipline. This is why Dahn Yoga training is so helpfu and valuable. The body, the mind and the spirit are all improved so we can dream freely unburdened by the past, and more forward with passion to build our future.

Dahn Yoga and Preparing for Your Ideal Future
“I never think of the future. It comes soon enough.” – Albert Einstein, scientist
With all due respects to Einstein, it is important to think about the future and if you want it to be a positive one, to prepare for it in a conscientious way. The key is the present and what we do to maximize it. All the presents do produce the future. Dahn Yoga is effective at helping us develop habits that promote a positive future. Today, maybe no pain, no gain is what happens. But to live the life we really want, that takes focus, planning, and action.

Dahn Yoga and Your Power
“The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power.” – Mary Pickford, actress
It is good to be reminded that the past is past, and cannot be changed, except by distortion of memory. And it is also good to be reminded that the future will not simply happen to us, unless we give responsibility for our life to others, but that it is basically in our power. Dahn Yoga exercises for body, mind and soul empower us to make the type of future we envision.
